Panatex is a textile company that has been operating for forty years in the production of industrial technical fabrics for the electro-technical sector. Made entirely in Italy, our products are used in the manufacture of motors, cables, transformers and electromagnets. GLASS TAPE
PRODUCTION
The glass thread is processed using high-tech looms: the thread is woven to size to form a smooth and compact looking tape. This tape is then packaged in rolls from 50m to 1500m in length, based on the requirements of the final user. The smaller rolls are preferred by those working with the tape by hand, while the larger rolls are usually chosen by those who use it in machines.
This product’s final users range from motor and transformer producers and repairers up to the cable and electromagnet industry.
LOW
CONDUCTIVITY
Our glass fibre tape is low conductive and therefore an excellent electrical insulator: in fact it is used to insulate electric conductors such as the copper wires inside electromagnets and cables.
RESISTANT TO HIGH TEMPERATURE
Our glass fibre tape is highly resistant to temperature and also acts as a flame retardant barrier. Electrical conductors are “wrapped” in a spiral so that their single components do not come in contact with each other. This process allows to contain any electricity discharges and prevent fire.
OUTSTANDING
FLEXIBILITY
Our tapes is from 0.09mm to 0.40mm thick. Such a reduced thickness allows for little encumbrance during use. Our tapes are also highly flexible so as to also keep the components that they are wrapped around flexible, without making them rigid.
HIGH MECHANICAL STRENGTH
Our glass fibre tape has an excellent tensile strength. What makes it so strong mechanically is use of highest quality raw materials as well as cutting edge technology and design.
PROTECTION
The glass tape performs a protective function on cables. It covers and isolates the cable's core and most delicate components, protecting them from high temperatures and external agents in general.
